Why Web Standards are Important
Standards on the Internet refer to the guidelines and specifications governing the design and site construction. This affects the software and tools used in creating a website. Tools and software for web design is an important sector, the models, but also that the user experience, this is what should be the main concern.
After a set of standards, universal for all sites, ensuring that what is viewed on the site, or what the browser is displayed, it will look the same. Universal standards means that browsers can be constructed knowing what to expect from Web sites. This means not only that all existing sites work on all browsers, but sites built in the future, while the standards are met.
This seems relatively simple, but during the 90s, Internet Explorer and Netscape both started ignoring web standards, instead seeking to add functionality that gives them an advantage over the other.
The results were the pages not displayed correctly in a browser, developers have multiple pages for different browsers to develop some sites will display correctly on a specific version of a browser and increase in bugs and security holes that function has a development time Out-of quality.
It has also led to a strong call for standardization, and once that was created as a dominant Internet Explorer, W3C standards like XML and CSS was still strictly observed.
The benefits to the developers knew what they were for the design, users need not worry about the browser they use, and more time can be devoted to correcting the errors and security flaws.
When the second browser war has started, the Mariners have conformed to these standards, so the competition is the browser could provide the best user experience. This led to features like tabbed browsing, improved reading Java and more options for adaptation.
We hope that these standards will be maintained in the future, and new technology or changes can be introduced in a way that works with Web Common Trip.
