Reciprocal Linking Revisited
You are at this point in life where you want to build your internet home business. You've read countless ads about getting rich quick. You've heard terms like "Article Submission" and "link". This should get you started.
Link Popularity
Google's founders believed in a period called 'citation authority. They found that more than academic papers already work a person, the more likely that the works cited an authority on the subject.
While many Internet sites should refer to a particular site, it is very likely that the site is an authorization given to the subject. The question is what those links say it is. If 25 sites link to another site with the word "train" it is likely that this page is a major train information.
Consequently, many projects have emerged, such as mini-sites, site networks, link farms and reciprocal link. It was not long before webmasters who want to rank for certain terms to learn that they need a lot of their links with keyword phrases chosen for their rankings in search engines to improve.
Reciprocal linking
Reciprocal links are links you trade with other sites (add the link, they add yours) to build link popularity. In other words, you scratch my back and I'll scratch your back in return. There are many online services, trade groups and software to help you connect with webmasters that can improve your product. Consequently, many sites have developed large directories on topics unrelated to their field, simply because other sites were willing to exchange links with them.
Here you use the old noodle in the selection of reciprocal link partners. If your website talks about trains, you would not want to put a link to a site dedicated to cats. Let love cats meow to go elsewhere.
Many webmasters still use it to link their sites with nothing but clutter your website, you want to focus on a particular category of users. You should always consult your reciprocal link request to waste. Accept any or all requests for link exchange would punish you in order to get good rank in search engines.
Is a working reciprocal link? The answer is doubtful. In the past, search engines tend to have a link as a link, whatever the subject of the original location. Search engines are now likely to seek additional ways to determine which sites are truly expert and which are easy to manipulate their way to the top. Link relevance is certainly a role to play. Some say it begins to influence the rankings.
Mutual binding
Mutual coupling is a little different from reciprocal link. Mutual linking is where the content of each site has real benefits from the contents of the site, a link partner. If you sell cars, you may want to recommend other sites for bands and other sites of automobile financing. You can even maintain an inventory of tires and maintenance workshops of the battery. This information is useful for your visitors, they probably need the services in the future. It is useful to those sites to also recommend your automobile dealer and a link to your website. Although technically still a reciprocal link, it has a mutual benefit for both sites.
To reiterate what we said, an affair that your visitors car dealer actually might need tips on the game, can gain links to such sites. They need only look at your site unprofessional. You should avoid links like these at all costs.
If you link to a site that search engines are looking at a neighborhood "evil", it could seriously damage your website. That innocent site Supplies pet may be cloaking (hidden links or text), or participating in other programs and the link is simply not taken.
Should I hide all of your outbound links?
We recommend it. Many believe that Google Florida update (in November 2003), adding relevant outgoing links seems to have a positive impact on the rankings. Besides, if you hide or block their links, and they hide or block yours, what is the point of participating in an outreach program at all?
So. What happens if I make a reciprocal link?
If you are looking to build long-term rankings (and links to real business that can attract customers), takes more work and creativity than just sending automated e-mails or joining a linking program . Give your site an advantage by giving people a reason to connect. Is this a useful tool, a guide, a directory specific to the industry, or other useful content that people feel good about the recommendation on its own site? If a link to your site is worthwhile, you will not rely so much on trade links as a promotion strategy.
